About the Author

Caroline Carter, PsyD (pronouns: she/her) is a Licensed Clinical Psychologist in Southern California. Her passion and expertise are in working with transgender and gender nonbinary (TGNB) children, teens, and their families. What motivated her to write Every Body is a Rainbow is her belief in the power of all kids seeing their lived and embodied experiences mirrored back to them. Born and raised in a small Canadian town on the coast of Lake Huron, Mathias is a trans-identified illustrator who draws inspiration from animals, emotions, and warm bright colours. They are a graduate of the Illustration program at Sheridan College. Their dream is to illustrate a world depicting cute characters and lots of dogs.
